Tamika Tyan has been making music longer than most people have known what they wanted to do with their lives. This talented Pop music artist began her journey in the typical fashion for great voices — early, instinctively, and with no plan other than the undeniable pull of music. She was already writing songs at the age of fourteen and producing her own tracks by eighteen. While many artists are still discovering their sound, Tamika had already developed a rich musical vocabulary.  

Over the next two decades, she showcased her talent in various venues, joining forces with artists like CeCe Winans, BeBe Winans, Jelly Roll, Brooks & Dunn, and the Tedeschi Trucks Band. Highlights of her career include performing for a crowd of 25,000 at Churchill Downs, opening for R&B legend Howard Hewitt of Shalamar, and winning the inaugural Kentuckiana Idol title. Tamika also earned a music production degree from LA Film School, driven by her passion to not just understand the emotional impact of soulful melodies, but also the intricate process of how music is crafted.  

Tamika’s journey hasn’t been linear, which is often the reality of a twenty-year career. Yet there is a continuous thread throughout her experiences: a voice that resonates deeply within any space it occupies. For her, genre has never held importance; it is the conviction behind her soulful melodies that truly matters.  

With her debut single “On Fire,” set to release on June 23, 2026, Tamika Tyan is ready to showcase the culmination of her journey. This track embodies the essence of Pop music while boasting deep roots and a wide reach, marking the moment when this dedicated artist fully embraces her identity.
