Meet Tamika Tyan
Tamika Tyan is a genre-bending artist who has been performing as a singer, songwriter and actress for more than 20 years. Tamika got her start in church at the age of two years old. Tamika started writing her own songs at the age of 14 and started producing her own music at the age of 18.
Tamika Tyan was the first WDRB Fox 41 Kentuckiana Idol winner. Tamika also performed in countless regional and community musical theatre performances, from Dynamites and Urchins to Motormouth Maybelle and Ursula. Tamika also had the opportunity to perform for 25,000 attendees at Downs After Dark at Churchill Downs with friends.
Tamika Tyan has a diverse background in music and genres with diverse clients from various parts of the world, which makes her a versatile vocalist and songwriter. Tamika has had the pleasure of opening for Howard Hewitt and singing background vocals for CeCe Winans, BeBe Winans, Jelly Roll, Brooks & Dunn, Tedeschi Trucks Band, Tate Butts and more! Tamika creates music that reflects her background and experiences.
